Save recipes from anywhere: a TikTok video, an Instagram reel, a food-blog URL, a photo of your mum's handwritten curry, or type it in manually. Pantree parses the ingredients, steps and timing automatically so every recipe is stored in a consistent, cookable format.
Add ingredients to your digital pantry with quantities and (optionally) expiry dates. You can do this manually or let Pantree pre-fill items from a shopping list. Most households spend 10 minutes getting set up once, then update as they shop.
Pantree cross-references your recipe library with your pantry and shows you which meals you can make tonight with zero extra shopping. And which are just one or two ingredients away. This is the single feature that cuts the most waste.
Tap the AI Chef tab and ask “what can I make for dinner?” or “what should I do with this wilting coriander?” AI Chef pulls from your actual pantry contents, your preferences, and the time you have. Substitutions, dietary tweaks, and technique questions are all fair game.
Pick a few recipes you want to cook this week. Pantree auto-builds a shopping list that consolidates duplicate ingredients, skips things already in your pantry, and groups items by supermarket aisle. Everyone in your household sees the same list in real time.
Open a recipe and tap Start Cooking. Pantree walks you through the steps and sets the timers it read out of the recipe when you imported it — “marinate for 30 minutes”, “fry for 2–3 minutes”. Every running timer appears as a Live Activity on your Lock Screen and in the Dynamic Island, and Now Cooking holds several recipes at the same time, so a roast, a sauce and a side can each keep their own clock.
Tick items off as you shop. Pantree moves them straight into your pantry inventory. Your recipe matches update instantly. Over a few weeks this loop meaningfully changes what you buy, what you cook, and how much you throw away.
